SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

Responsibilities:
The Senior Process Engineer is technically competent in several (more than one) different but allied technologies (e.g. process, chemical, control engineering but not electrical engineering). The Senior Engineer carries out troubleshooting, analysis of data, formulates action plans to modify or improves existing procedures and technical instructions without technical supervision or oversight. He/she is also entirely autonomous within several technical areas and is authorized as competent within those areas. Independent decision-making, he/she may occasionally be permitted outside the named area of competence without express permission of the Senior/Lead Engineer/Technical Authority but informing them of such for review at their discretion.
Required skills:
- An Engineering degree in metallurgy, or chemical engineering or equivalent;
- Working knowledge and implementation of international standards (ASTM, NACE, ISO, DNV, AMIRA p 754 etc.) and well as Ambatovy standards;
- Accredited or eligible for accreditation as a Chartered/Professional Engineer (I.Chem.E., IOMMM, P.Eng, PE etc.);
- Demonstrate expertise in monitoring and analyzing process data to identify performance improvement opportunities and implement solutions using the PI AVEVA system or similar platforms.
- At least 10 years’ in related fielded mainly in performing metallurgical accounting and production planning using industry-standard software (e.g., INVENTEO, MI Core, Sigmafine, MAX4METS, etc.);
- Solid understanding of engineering principles for troubleshooting equipment and circuit-related issues in chemical facilities;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, safety, and supply chain, to achieve shared objectives.
- Strong communication skills to advise and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
