SUPERINTENDENT ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE

Position Summary

Manages, primarily through front-line supervisors, Electrical maintenance work groups. Develops and executes integrated preventative, predictive and corrective work plans for site Electrical maintenance systems to optimize overall system reliability. Takes an ownership role of the whole Electrical system on site. Basically, responsible for overall maintenance, Monitoring & Performance of the High Voltage equipment across the site to ensure maximum productivity & equipment availability with zero harm.

Responsible for safe and effective execution of maintenance work in an environmentally compliant manner in accordance with international accepted maintenance work standards.

Position Specific Accountabilities

• Executes integrated, cost-effective plans for preventative, predictive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Collaborates with Operations and maintenance planners to effectively coordinate scheduling to minimize asset downtime. Attends and frequently chairs regularly scheduled meetings related to Electrical High voltage maintenance planning, safety and major repairs.
• Manages field execution of Electrical maintenance and project work plan.
• Provides direction for site wide Electrical high voltage maintenance practices and communicates daily priorities and stewards’ actions related to backlog.
• Tracks progress to plan, reports performance metrics to management and resolves problems/barriers to achieving performance targets. Controls and optimizes resource (materials, personnel) deployment.
• Maintains visible active field presence to assure consistent and proper application of Electrical maintenance standards and compliance with safe work practices.
• Creates sustained focus on continuous improvement in the High Voltage equipment reliability through management of system integrity and risk-based inspection maintenance programs and practices, based on internationally accepted practices for High Voltage Electrical system maintenance.
• Establishes, institutes and sustains maintenance procedures for High Voltage Electrical equipment to support requirements to manage Routine Maintenance work process.
• Develops and implements a standard authorization system of Rules & Standing Instructions for site Electrical High Voltage activities.
• Manages the Plant Electrical maintenance budget. Provides input into the maintenance budget preparation to all site areas. Exercises cost control measures necessary to meet the budget requirements.
• Responds to Electrical issues related to High Voltage during off-hours. (preferred rotational position) and takes an ownership role to all site Electrical systems.
• Responsible for ensuring that appropriate procedures and training are in place for High Voltage Electrical personnel.Maintains regular contact with outside accreditation bodies for changes to standards and the latest technologies in the equipment maintenance.
• Implements, monitors and when necessary, enforces company policies and procedures.
• Works closely with asset management engineers on new designs and projects.
• Undertake any additional tasks as & when assigned by comapany

Position Specific Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent field experiences with some technical qualification and specialization in Electrical High Voltage system.
• Minimum 15 years in a process plant environment with minimum 5 years in a supervisory position
• Understand the maintenance work management process in order to be able to evaluate /support maintenance activities
• Knowledge of radiation sources used for process measurement
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
